Our house build was a difficult and challenging one as we wanted a large 4-bedroom open plan house on a 10 by 40 metre block. We looked into many builders but after our meeting with Ron from Eastbuild we knew straight away we would receive exactly what we wanted along with the quality home we expected.
Living in Melbourne during the build meant we needed to rely and trust our builder which for us was one of the most important things we needed, Ron was incredibly helpful in keeping us up to date with many photos along the way and suggestions for inclusions.

“After purchasing one of the few remaining lots in Oceans Edge, we compared the services offered by the three major local builders and inspected the floor plans and compared the quality to achieve a design that would work on our tiny corner block with specifications on each boundary”.
Ron and his team came highly recommended by many around Palm Cove and we soon realised for ourselves that Ron is a much-respected local figure, a perfectionist and a man of integrity. From our first meeting we could see that Ron was a true professional and had exceptional insight into what we wanted to achieve. We were both really impressed with the way Ron actually listened to what we wanted making recommendations based on valuable experience together with sound knowledge of local and industry regulations.
Ron’s wealth of experience and can-do attitude gave us the confidence that we needed given that we were building interstate and would not be around to inspect daily! His relentless attention to detail and overwhelming engagement in the project exceeded our expectations at every stage. In collaboration with his architect Richard Weiss, they designed a double story three-bedroom, three bathroom home which utilised every square metre maximising space for furniture layouts and boasting a large open plan entertainment area which seemed impossible at first glance. It even incorporated views of the creek and pond to the envy of other residents in the area.
During the construction phase we heavily placed our trust in Ron. However regular updates and frequent calls on suggested options satisfied our need to know and inclusive decision making. Co-ordination with sub-contractors, review of drawings, the ability to resolve all construction detailing issues promptly, as well as providing the right advice resulted in early completion some 3 weeks ahead of schedule! Above all, the high-quality workmanship and co-ordination, delivery and installation of owner supplied items provided the complete package and service that is second to none.
Engaging Ron and his team for the full design and construction package was an extremely wise decision and instrumental to the amazing outcome of our project. Delighted with our dream home we highly recommend Eastbuild Designer Homes to deliver similar bespoke high-quality homes.

I bought the land some years ago, and after spending a couple of years consulting two different designers/architects and sketching literally hundreds of draft designs for the uniquely shaped battle-axe block, I still hadn’t found a design – or a builder – that really inspired me. I needed a design that offered me stylish open plan living, yet with lots of privacy, that could be built within my budget and within seven months. It needed to feel like my home, not just be a clever design and I needed to be involved throughout the project as new ideas emerged, not excluded until the keys were handed over and all this happened when I decided to work with Ron from Eastbuild Designer Homes. I was promised a house within six months and that’s what I got.
When I met Ron and Richard, I was immediately impressed by their passion for building me a house that was right for me. My house is full of their ideas and their high standards, but it also incorporates my desires and my dreams and it is most definitely my home. I asked for some basic positioning of different rooms plus a couple of “Wow factors” and they have over-delivered on everything.
Three things impressed me most, apart for the magnificent home where I now live being the end result. First, the ability to be involved in every detail of the house throughout the build, incorporating my ideas with great creative and practical advice from Ron. Secondly, the attention to detail which can be seen everywhere you look. Finally, and not least, it was delivered on time and within budget.
The design, infrastructure quality and attention to detail ensures that my house is an investment for the future as well as a dream to live in, and much better than I hoped for. If you want proof, come and see my house, I’m very happy to show it off!

We were first introduced to Ron in 2008 when undertaking an extension and building a large timber deck for our investment unit in Clifton Beach.
During that project we found Ron to be a very professional and passionate builder. He worked alongside his employees to complete the job to a high standard in the agreed time frame.
In 2010 we completed plans to build our upmarket home on the beachfront in Kewarra Beach. We offered the project to Ron as his quote was competitive and similar to one of the established and highly regarded builders. He also assured us that he would build us the quality home we required using the best tradespeople and materials available.
Our building project commenced in October 2010. It was completed to a very high standard and within the projected time frame. During the whole process, Ron displayed professionalism, great project management and organizational skills. We were very impressed with the finished quality of our home which won Eastbuild 5 awards in the HIA NQ Awards including HIA NQ Home of the Year and HIA NQ Custombuilt home of the year.

We engaged Eastbuild to construct our new home on Oceansedge Estate in Palm Cove based on the quality of previous work they had done, and we wanted a custom built unique home rather than a standard project home by one of the larger building companies. Ron is the driving force behind the company backed by a team of professional tradesmen.
Our request for the design was to provide a Pavilion style home with the pool in middle of the house and to take full advantage of the land available and the lakeside views. Ron came up with an innovative design including a turret roof above the main roof with an air gap between the two roofs and breezeways into the area between the pavilions, to provide air ventilation and energy efficiency. The lower roof covers half the pool area with the other half exposed to provide an indoor and outdoor feel to the internal deck area. The underside of the turret roof and internal end walls were lined with New Guinea Rosewood to provide a stunning feature to the main walkway.
The same timber was used for the windows, door frames and skirting boards and quality materials were used throughout. The project was completed within the estimated timeframe in approximately 8 months which would have been less if not for the weather constraints and material supply. Ron supervised the project from start to completion. His attention to detail and workmanship is of the highest standard and we have no hesitation in recommending him to any future clients.
